Standard Safety Procedures

1

Safety monitor (in OSHA-approved attire) is utilized where applicable.

2

Dumpster area is flagged off to limit access and protect customer assets.

Hard hats are required around dumpster. Materials are recycled whenever possible.

3

Perimeter warning line system set at 34"-39" above roof surface, 6 feet from roof's edge (or 10 feet when operating mechanical equipment perpendicular to edge). Flags or pennants are placed on line every 6 feet. Ladders are tied off.

4

Debris box or chute required for disposal of debris on roofs 20 feet or greater. Tarp placed on side of building. Safety glasses, gloves and other PPE worn when handling debris.

5

Deck replacement requires (PFAS) full-body harness with lanyard, flagged-off area, and gloves for handling decking and immediate replacement of old deck with new decking.

Safety nets or lifts are used when applicable.

6

Where feasible, a restraining system will be used to limit workers' ability to move farther than roof's edge.

7

Clearly marked hole covers are constructed to support twice the expected load or holes are cordoned off from work area.

8

Underside of deck is inspected prior to loading.

Weight of equipment and materials is properly distributed over roof and kept away from weak decking.

9

Our jobsites are neat and orderly. All equipment and materials are kept in a centralized location to avoid accidents.

A pathway is in place to prevent wear of the existing roof.
